A four-week investigation on the ground to define the story and position this project as the definitive narrative film on the race to shape the century.
In order to understand the reality in which our story is embedded we are conducting a field investigation following the critical mineral supply chain from Lubumbashi and Kolwezi to the Kasumbalesa Border and Zambian Copperbelt, the Lake Tanganyika Corridor, the Goma region in Eastern DRC, Maniema, and Kisangani.
We have engaged an American military contractor to provide security and entry to this world which is ordinarily closed to outsiders. Access to the majority of the locations we are visiting is relationship based.
We will be moving through active mining concessions, trading depots, border crossings, and remote interior regions, with full access to operating mines, infra-structure assets, and on-the-ground networks across government, military, and commercial layers.
We will be documenting as much of the journey as we deem safe and appropriate.
Detailed itinerary available upon request.
